To apply for a minor's identity card or passport, a proof of address must be provided less than one year old. The document to be submitted varies depending on the parents live together or are separate :

You live with a relative (relative, friend...))

We have to present the 3 following documents :

  • Identity document of the person hosting (photocopy only)
  • Certification on the honor of accommodation dated, signed and certifying a stable residence or more than 3 months (original)
  • Proof of domicile of the host in his name and first name of less than one year at the date of filing of the application (original).

FYI  

No other documents should be required.

You are homeless or homeless

It is possible, under certain conditions, of eread home with one of the following structures:

  • Organization approved by the prefect. These may include, for example, non-profit organizations that take action against exclusion or for access to healthcare (French Red Cross, Secours Catholique, Emmaus,...).) The list of approved structures can be communicated by the town hall
  • Communal (or inter-communal) social action center (CCAS: titleContent or ICAS: titleContent).

The name of the organization is not on the ID. Only his address will be indicated.

You live in the hotel

We have to present the 2 following documents :

  • Accommodation certificate from the hotel manager or director
  • Official document in your name indicating the same address (driver's license, tax or non-tax notice, vital certificate, pension document, family allowance document, France Travail document...).)
You live in a caravan

We have to present the 2 following documents :

  • Deed of ownership of the land or lease agreement
  • Official document in your name indicating the same address.

Please note

In the absence of fixed domicile (or residence) for more than 6 months (e.g. Travelers), a certificate of election of domicile must be provided.

The parents are separated

The proof to be produced depends on the type of custody: habitual residence with a single parent or alternating custody.

Habitual residence fixed with one of the parents
