Period of Professionalization in the Hospital Public Service (HPF)

Are you a public hospital worker and want to access a job that requires new skills or corresponds to different professional activities? The period of professionalization can allow you to carry out this project within the administration. It integrates service and training phases. The period of professionalization may be initiated at the request of your institution or at your initiative. We present you the information to know.

You can benefit from a period of professionalization if you are a holder (civil servant) or non-holder (contractor) in the hospital public service.

This involves periods of service and training. It is therefore a matter of alternation.

This alternation must allow the realization within the administration of a professional project.

This project aims to access a job requiring new skills or corresponds to different professional activities.

If you are a public servant activity, the professionalization period may also allow you to access another body of the hospital public service of the same level and category.

The period of professionalization is adapted to the specificities of the job you are aiming for. It may take place in a different job than your previous assignment.

You can benefit from a period of professionalization of a duration between 3 months and 12 months (1 year).

The period of professionalization may be initiated:

  • At the request of your hospital
  • Or at your initiative.

Your appointing authority has 2 months to let you know its agreement or the reasons why it refuses.

In case of refusal, you can enter for notice CAP or the Joint Consultative Commission.

Alone 2% of the total number of staff of the service or division concerned may be admitted during the period of professionalization, unless the head of establishment decides otherwise. If the department or division has fewer than 50 agents, acceptance of a professionalization period may be postponed if another agent already benefits from it.

It can take place during and/or outside working time:

The number of hours outside working time may not exceed 50 per year.

Departure in training gives rise to a convention between you and your hospital.

The Convention specifies the following points:

  • Functions that can be entrusted to you if you have been diligent and have satisfied the evaluations
  • Duration of the professionalization period
  • Qualifications to be acquired
  • Planned training actions.

Yes. Your remuneration is maintained during the professionalization period.

After the period of professionalization and after passing an evaluation, your detachment in the east receiving body pronounced.

After 2 years effective services in this detachment position, you are, on your request, integrated in the welcome corps.
