Is an employee who undergoes training outside working hours paid?

No, training carried out by a private sector employee outside working hours (RTT, annual leave, parental leave, unpaid...) is not remunerated. However, in some cases, financial compensation for childcare is possible.
The rules vary depending on the situation:

The training is at the initiative of the employee
When an employee uses his Personal Training Account (CPF) or solicits a career transition project (PTP) to form outside working time, it does not no remuneration.
The training is at the initiative of the employer
The employee is not remunerated in training courses taking place outside working hours.
In principle, these trainings take place within the framework of the skills development plan.
This may be training taken in the context of training actions determined by collective agreement of a company or branch.
THEcollective agreement may provide for compensation for any childcare costs.

The employee's consent is mandatory for these training courses outside working hours.
As part of the Pro-A
Non-working time training within the framework of the conversion or promotion by alternation (Pro-A) is not remunerated.
