How to benefit from the SNCF's reduced-rate annual leave ticket?

SNCF proposes to benefit only once a year of a reduced rate to buy tickets.

This concerns a train journey round trip on the occasion of annual leave.

The vacation ticket only applies for one trip in France.

You can benefit from the SNCF annual leave ticket if you are in one the following situations:

• Employee (resident in France or abroad)
• Public Service Officer
• Homeworker
• Craftsman
• Farmer
• Jobseeker on unemployment benefit
• Vocational Training Intern
• Retired or pre-retired or in receipt of a social security pension (reversion, invalidity, minimum old age)
• Orphan
• Widower or war widow.

You can include the following people on your ticket application:

• Either the person with whom you live as a couple and also your unmarried children under 21 years (without age limit for disabled children)
• Either your mother or father or both (if you are a single ticket holder and your parents live at home).

You benefit from a discount of 25% on your vacation leave ticket compared to the usual applicable rate.

The discount applies for a trip round trip of at least 200 km in all.

The discount is applicable for the following fares:

• Either for trains with a mandatory reservation, on the full leisure fare and on the regulated fare
• Either for trains with optional reservation or without reservation, on the standard rate of 2^e class, excluding any supplements whatever the class borrowed.

The reduction shall apply if the 2 the following conditions are met:

• Within the limits of available seats, for trains with compulsory reservation
• For any journey started in the blue period traveler calendar for trains with an optional reservation or without a reservation.

When part of the journey is made in 1^re class, the discount is calculated based on the full price of the 2^e class.

To have your tickets drawn up, you must all the following steps:

1. Download the online application form, print it, fill it in specifying your routes and your companions
2. Attach any documentation to substantiate your entitlement to the ticket (e.g. employer's certificate attesting to the nature of the employment and granting of paid leave)
3. Attach documents proving your kinship with the other persons on the ticket, if the ticket includes several persons.

You must fill out the form and send it to SNCF via the TOUTOUI chabot:

You must use your vacation ticket during the scheduled period of use of the ticket.

Your return journey must be made by 61^e day depending on the date of your outward journey.

Stops are allowed along the way, to and from.

If your vacation leave ticket is not used, you can get a refund for it while it is in use.

If you have made the outward journey with your annual leave ticket but not the return journey, the return journey not made is refundable only during its validity period, either 61 days.
