Lost, stolen or damaged hunting license: how to request a duplicate?

The application for an initial attestation of issuance of the hunting permit shall be made on free paper.

Your request must indicate your names, first names, date and place of birth and, if possible, the number and the date your original hunting license was issued.

If you have retained a copy of your original hunting permit (front + back), attach it to your shipment.

Send your request to the prefecture or sub-prefecture that issued you the hunting permit.

You have to make a online pre-application from duplicate.

Online pre-application for duplicate hunting permit

After you have made the online pre-application for duplicate, you must create a paper file.

Your file must include the form cerfa no. 13944 that you received as a result of your online pre-application:

• This form contains a sworn declaration relating to the causes of incapacity and prohibition that may prevent the issuance of the hunting permit
• If you are a minor or adult under guardianship, the form contains an authorization from your legal representative that he has to sign.

You must also attach the following documents:

• 1 photo ID conform to standards less than 6 months old.
• Duplex copy of a valid ID (national identity card or passport). If you are a foreigner, resident card or residence permit)
• Original of the certificate of initial issuance of the hunting permit for any permit issued by a prefecture or sub-prefecture before 1^er September 2009
• Proof of payment made at the time of online pre-application of the duplicate, corresponding to the amount of the fee for issuing the duplicate (€30).

One certificate of application for a duplicate valid for temporary hunting is sent to you by post if you meet the following conditions:

• You have a valid hunting permit
• You respect the conditions for validation of the hunting permit.

This certificate allows you to hunt for 2 months, time to receive the duplicate.

In case of control, you must present the certificate, a piece of identity with photograph, the validation of your certificate with a departmental federation of hunters and your certificate of insurance.

If your application file is complete, you will receive a duplicate of your hunting license in a 2 months delay following the filing of your application.

This duplicate cancels any hunting permit or duplicate previously issued.

If you do not receive a response of theOFB: titleContent in the 2 months depending on your duplicate request, this means that your request is denied.
