PIX: platform for assessment and certification of digital skills

Are you a second-degree student, student or trainee in continuing education and wondering about the evaluation of your digital skills? The PIX platform determines whether you have mastered the skills defined by the Digital Competency Reference Framework (NCRF). You can develop your digital skills online and get a certification of your level. We present you the information to know.
PIX is a tool forevaluation online digital skills. You can go there expand your digital skills.
PIX determines whether you have mastered the skills defined by the Digital Competency Reference Framework (NCRF).
PIX applies to you if you are in any of the following situations:
- Middle school student in 6th, 4th and 3rd grade
- High school student in CAP class
- High school senior
- Student of training provided in high school
- Student in initial training in higher education institutions
- Trainee in continuing education provided by public education services and institutions.
PIX evaluates 16 digital skills in the following 5 areas of activity:
- Information and data
- Communication and collaboration
- Creating Content
- Protection and security
- Digital environment.
These powers shall be laid down in Digital Competency Reference Framework (NCRF).
The rules differ depending on whether you are enrolled in secondary education, higher education or working or training in a public educational institution.

In middle school and high school
The assessment of digital skills on the PIX platform is mandatory if you have any of the following:
- Student in class 6th (PIX 6th Awareness Certificate)
- Student in 4th grade (course IA)
- Pupil in 3rd grade (end of cycle certification 4)
- Pupil in class of 1st and 2nd year of CAP (course IA)
- Pupil in terminal class (terminal end of cycle certification)
- Student taking courses offered in high school.
The head of the institution is responsible for organizing the evaluation session.

PIX replaces the « school », « college » and « high school » levels of the computer and internet (B2i) certificate since the start of the 2019 school year.

In higher education institutions
Higher education institutions can organize the assessment of their students' digital skills on the PIX platform. It's not an obligation.

If your institution does not organize the assessment, you must find an available certification center and sign up for a session.
In public education services and institutions
Public education services and institutions can organize the assessment of the digital skills of their staff in continuous training on the PIX platform. It's not an obligation.

in continuing education, PIX has replaced the « adult » level of the computer and internet (B2i) certificate since the start of the 2019 school year.

Registration to the PIX platform
If your employer does not organize the assessment, you must find an available certification center and sign up for a session.
After the PIX assessment, you are issued a national certification of your proficiency level.
The certification obtained is recorded in the school booklet if you are a pupil of 3e or senior.
However, the PIX assessment in 6th grade (awareness certificate), 4th grade and CAP (AI course) does not qualify for certification.
