Can we still collect the Professional Expenses Compensation Allowance (ACFP)?

Verified 01 April 2026 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Yes, the occupational expense allowance (ACFP) was replaced in 2006 by the disability compensation benefit (PCH), but you can continue to collect the ACFP if you already received it.

To do this, you must continue to fill in the set of conditions following:

  • Under 60 years of age
  • Reside in Metropolitan France or in Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Reunion, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin or Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon
  • Be a French national or have a valid residence permit
  • Performing a professional activity or elected office (for example, municipal councilor)
  • Have resources less than or equal to the resource ceilings to collect the Disabled Adult Allowance (DAA).

The amount of the ACFP is up to €1,039 per month.

FYI

Amounts collected do not have to be repaid by your heirs upon your death.
