Talent Scholarships are upgraded for 2026-2027

The Talent Scholarship is a financial assistance granted to persons preparing one or more public service competitions: category A or category B, judicial or military competitions. It is addressed to students enrolled in a Talent Preparation or Talent Path training cycle. It can be combined with scholarships based on social criteria of higher education.

For the 2026-2027 school year, the Talents scholarship is upgraded by €1,000. Its amount is €5,000 per year (previously €4,000).

The conditions of payment of the Talents scholarship

The allocation of the scholarship is decided by the regional prefect. You don't have to do anything. The institution offering a Talent Preparation or Talent Path directly transmits the list of registered students to the regional prefect, at the latest within one month of the beginning of the school year.

The scholarship will be paid to you in 2 installments by the competent services of the regional prefectures: € 2,500 when the list of registrants is transmitted; then € 2,500 from March, upon presentation to the regional prefect of several supporting documents:

• a certificate of attendance lessons and attendance at examinations;
• an attestation of attendance or transcript of the tests for at least one of the competitions prepared as part of the training. If the tests of the competition concerned take place after the date fixed by the prefect of the region for the transmission of the justifications, a certificate of registration for the competition is appropriate; if the entries for the competition are not yet open on the same date, it may be a certificate on the honor of registering for it. An attestation of attendance at the competition concerned must be sent after the competition has passed.

Careful, the second payment may be suspended in the absence of transmission of the supporting documents. The beneficiary may be required to reimburse the public treasury for the amounts received under the scholarship, unless: he has been a winner of another competition included in the scheme or if the interruption of the preparation results from « serious and serious » reasons.

The Talents bursary can only be awarded once, but the prefect can, exceptionally, renew it when the applicant completes a second year of training.
