The contact details of the communal social action centers are now available in the directory Public Service

Within the communal social action centers (CCAS), you can benefit from support for your application for social assistance (assistance for the elderly, for people in great precariousness, for people with disabilities, etc.). In municipalities with more than 1,500 inhabitants, a CCAS is mandatory. You can now find within the directory of Public Service the contact details of your CCAS.

Since 12 January, you can also find the contact details of the Communal Social Action Centers (CCAS) and the Intercommunal Social Action Centers (CIAS).

A CCAS is a local public service whose role is to support people in difficulty (people with disabilities, elderly people in difficulty, families and people in precarious situations) and ensuring access to aid. A CCAS is mandatory in municipalities with more than 1,500 inhabitants.

Communities of communes, communities of agglomerations, urban communities and metropolises can create an intercommunal center for social action (CIAS). A CIAS is the intercommunal equivalent of the CCAS; social action is carried out on a larger scale (the intercommunal territory), in a logic of pooling resources.

When there are no CSFs in your municipality, or CSFs at an inter-municipal level, you can contact your town hall directly for this type of request.

The integration of CSFs and ICSCs into the Public Service Directory was carried out in partnership with the Inclusion Platform, which develops digital solutions to strengthen socio-professional integration, and My Compass Caregivers, a platform that supports caregivers by offering them personalized information and guidance to facilitate their daily lives.
