How can you get help if you have trouble filing your tax return?

Contact the tax department

By phone

You can contact your personal income tax department whose number is indicated on your tax notice.

You can also call the non-surcharged number 0,809,401,401 available from monday to friday between 8:30 am and 7 pm (free service + cost of the call).

The ACCEO platform is available for deaf and hard of hearing people.

By secure messaging

You can go through secure messaging by logging into your Public Finance area of the site impots.gouv.fr, by clicking on “Secure Messaging” at the top right of the page. You can ask your question to a tax official.

Make an appointment with a tax officer

If you have any doubt, a significant change in situation during the year 2025 or a problem filling out your tax return, you can make an appointment with a Public Finance Officer.

Log in to your Public Finance area, click on the “Contact and appointment” section at the top right of the page and then on “Make an appointment”. You will need to indicate the reason for the appointment request.

You can choose between an appointment by phone (an agent will call you back on a chosen slot), by videoconference or on site in your tax center. To finalize your application, you will need to provide your first and last name, tax number, telephone number and email address. You can also change or cancel your appointment if you have a problem. One map allows you to find the public finance reception points.

The France Services network at your disposal

You can also find DGFiP agents in the spaces France Services or during appointments or offices at the town hall, or by videoconference. They will be able to answer all your questions by having access to your file. France Services also offers support and guides you in your online procedures, depending on your level of autonomy.

Please note that no paper declaration can be received in France Services.
