Publié le 07 novembre 2024 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

You have a disability and you have administrative procedures to carry out in your city hall? Or do you want to go and see an exhibition? Getting out can be difficult if you don't have all the information you need to get around. Acceslibre lists for you the practical information to check the accessibility of a public place.

Accessible is a collaborative intelligence platform that identify the accessibility of all locations receiving the public and enables share this information as widely as possible.

The platform now lists more than 500,000 locations and 7,800 contributors that enrich it.

It provides individuals or school administrators with information on facilities in place to facilitate the reception of persons with disabilities (outdoor access ramps, lifts for persons with reduced mobility, nearby parking for persons with disabilities, etc.). By consulting the platform before your outings, you can know whether or not the place where you are going is adapted to your situation.

Reminder

12 million people have disabilities in France.

How do I do the research?

Whether you are a disabled user, caregiver, friend, or institution, you can search for accessibility information by filling in a place and refine your search with filters:

  • to clarify the person's disability (for example, you are looking for a suitable place for people in wheelchairs or with vision or hearing difficulties);
  • to fill out a specific need (you need public transport nearby, PMR. parking nearby, PMR. toilets, etc.).

An interactive platform

The objective of the platform is also that each experiment should make it possible to complete the database. As you go out, you can add a location or complete an existing card.

To do this, you must “ Joining the community ” then, depending on your profile, create an account as:

  • Contributors.
  • Establishment managers.
  • Local authorities.
  • Websites, web platforms.

You will first need to check if the location is already referenced in the database. If necessary, you can pick up the existing card and fill it in with the missing information. If the location does not exist in the database, you can create it by following the steps in the form.

Please note

All accessibility data collected by Acceslibre is free and free of charge; it is automatically and instantly displayed on the Acceslibre partner sites. Administrations, for example, can complete their pages directly on the platform with their accessibility data at any time.
