Publié le 10 février 2026 - Public Service / (Prime Minister)

The seizure of remuneration, or seizure of wages, allows a creditor to recover sums due through the intermediary of the employer. The employee may withhold the seizable portion of the employee's salary. As a result, the employee receives only part of his salary. Discover the 2026 schedule for calculating the seizable amount.

The attachment of wages allows a creditor of an employee to obtain payment of his debt. Within a certain limit, part of the employee's remuneration may be withheld and paid to the creditor. The decree revising the salary seizure scale for 2026 was published on December 26, 2025.

Only a fraction of the seizable income can be withheld by the employer. The seizable fraction is calculated on the amount of annual net remuneration (excluding reimbursement of expenses and dependency allowances) for the 12 months preceding notification of seizure.

2026 schedule of seizable amount

The seizable portion is defined according to a scale by installments of monthly seizable resources (for a debtor living alone).
