Apply for a second-hand vehicle administrative status certificate (HistoVec)

The HistoVec website allows the seller to share the history of the vehicle with an interested buyer. The report will mention the vehicle highlights recorded in the national vehicle registration system (VRS) file:

  • Date of its 1re putting into circulation
  • Successive changes of ownership
  • Claims resulting in a repair procedure controlled by an automotive expert
  • Administrative situation of the vehicle (pledge, opposition, theft)
  • Dates and results of technical inspections, mileage history
  • Technical characteristics (make, color, engine displacement, HP power, engine speed, noise level, pollution criterion...).)

The owner logs in to HistoVec using the license plate number of the vehicle concerned, its personal data and the information on the registration certificate.

It then generates the HistoVec report and shares it with the potential buyer.

The administrative status certificate (commonly called certificate of non-pledge), enriched with the history of the vehicle, is accessible via Histovec.
