  • If the value of goods of the succession (theactive) is not obviously superior at amount of debts of the estate (the passive), an application for authorization must be completed at protection litigation judge to accept the succession purely and simply in the name of the protected adult.

  • Copy of thedeath certificate from deceased
  • Full copy of less than 3 months of thebirth certificate from protected major (no extract of deed, no family booklet)
  • Full copy of less than 3 months of your birth certificate
  • Certified copy of the decision of the guardianship judge appointing you as guardian or authorized person
  • Proofs of the patrimonial situation of the deceased (copy of bank account statements, copy of invoices, etc. or a notarized statement of assets)
  • Copy of will if the protected adult has been designated heir by will
