Estate opened after October 2017

Please note

If you send the declaration to a notary, he must send a copy of it to the court in whose jurisdiction the succession is opened. The service can be invoiced by the notary.

Estate opened before November 2017

  • Full copy of thedeath certificate from deceased
  • Extract less than 3 months old frombirth certificate from protected major
  • Duplex copy of your proof of identity
  • Copy of the decision of the guardianship judge authorizing you to give up on behalf of the protected adult
