Major legal heir

  • Copy of the death certificate of the deceased
  • Full copy less than 3 months of the birth certificate of the protected adult
  • Full copy of your birth certificate within 3 months
  • Copy of the protected adult's family record book
  • Certified copy of the decision of the guardianship judge designating you as an authorized person
  • Certification by the notary of the loss-making nature of the succession (only in case of referral to a notary)
  • Copy of already registered waivers
  • Heritage Inventory
  • Proof of inheritance debts (notary's letter, copy of invoices, etc.) or notarized liquidation deed

Major heir in will

  • Copy of the death certificate of the deceased
  • Full copy less than 3 months of the birth certificate of the protected adult
  • Full copy of your birth certificate within 3 months
  • Copy of the protected adult's family record book
