When a child or a relative dies, you can benefit from a special leave of absence. The duration of the authorization varies according to the relationship with the deceased and your employer administration. We present you the information to know according to your public service of belonging (State - FPE, territorial - FPT, hospital - FPH).

Special absence permissions are granted whether you are civil servant or contractor.

They are no effect on your annual leave entitlements. They do not reduce your number of vacation days.

EPF

You can benefit from a special authorization of absence of working days on the death of your spouse, mother or mother, if the operation of the service allows it.

You can benefit from a special authorization of absence of working days upon the death of your partner of Civil partnerships: titleContent.

Depending on the jurisdiction, special leave of absence may also be granted upon death other members of your family (sister, brother, etc.), if the functioning of the service allows it. Ask your Human Resources department.

Special leave of absence can't be denied by your employer administration.

FPT

If a deliberation so provides, you may be granted special leave of absence upon the death of a relative, if the operation of the service allows it.

  • Spouse or partner of Civil partnerships: titleContent
  • Father or mother.
