In which cases does the death of the insured not result in the payment of life insurance?
Verified 08 January 2026 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
If you are the named beneficiary of a life insurance contract, you must receive the premium for the death of the insured person.
However, there are 2 cases in which you will not receive the money:
- The insured commits suicide during the 1era year of contract
- You are sentenced in court for having voluntarily given death to the insured or subscriber (in general, the subscriber is also the insured). But if other people have been designated as beneficiaries, they will be able to collect the capital provided for in the contract.
