Verified 01 April 2026 - Public Service / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
Yes, if you are unemployed, you can collect the RSA: titleContent, but on condition that the conditions for benefiting from it.
The lump sum of the RSA will be reduced by the amount of the Return to Employment Assistance (RHE) allowance.
When you apply for an RSA, you must declare your unemployment benefits, that is, the amounts of the ARE received and possibly your other income.
If the amount of your income is less than the lump sum of the RSA, the RSA may represent a supplement to unemployment benefits.
Example :
A jobseeker living alone without a child has the sole income €250 per month of ARE. For a single person, the amount of the RSA is €651.69. The jobseeker can therefore benefit from the RSA for a monthly amount of €401.69 (€651.69-€250).
