Moving allowance

The moving allowance is a conditional grant if you are moving and have at least 3 dependent children. It corresponds to the expenses actually incurred for your move, within a certain limit. It is paid by the Family Allowance Fund (Caf) or the Agricultural Social Mutuality (MSA), We present you the regulations to know.
This bonus is awarded to you if you complete, within 6 months of your move, the 3 following conditions :
- You have at least 3 dependent children (born or unborn)
- Your move takes place between 1er day of calendar month that follows the end of your 3e month of pregnancy and the last day of the month preceding 2e birthday of your last child
- You are entitled to personalized housing assistance (APL) or to the Family Housing Allowance (FHA) for your new home.

The moving bonus is not not subject to resource requirements.
The approach differs depending on whether you depend on the general scheme (Caf) or agricultural (MSA):

General case (Caf)
You must send to the Caf of your new place of residence, maximum 6 months after the move, a file consisting of:
- From form cerfa n°11363 of application for a moving premium (to download)
- And proof of expenses incurred for the move.
Agricultural Scheme (MSA)
You must send to the MSA, in a maximum 6 months after the move, a file consisting of:
- From form cerfa n°11363 of request for a moving premium
- And proof of expenses incurred for the move.
It is equal to the amount of actual moving expenses within the limit of a ceiling which varies according to the number of dependent children.

The premium is paid in one go after production of the supporting documents for the expenses incurred for the move.
If your situation is precarious, you can request an advance upon presentation of a quote.
The advance may represent 50% à 75% the amount of the quote, within the limit of the premium that will be due.
You will need to provide the invoice paid, within 6 months of the move, to justify your entitlement and obtain the balance of the premium.

MSA
To challenge the refusal decision, you must send a letter to your Caf: titleContent or to your MSA: titleContent in a 2 months delay from the receipt of the contested decision to refer the matter to the amicable appeal board.
These steps are indicated on the Caf or MSA mail and in the section My account, " Remedies ».

If you change department, the MSA of your home of departure will automatically take care of the transfer of the file to your new caisse. This transfer will take place as soon as you register your new address.
