Yes, an employee has the option to resign during his paid leave.
The usual rules of the resignation must be respected.
However, in this case, the notice starts at the end of paid leave.
The employment contract is terminated at the end of the advance notice.
If the employee does not wish to make his notice (totally or partially), he must obtain the agreement of his employer by requesting a waiver of notice. The employer is not obliged to accept.
