Created by the law of September 5, 2018 for the freedom to choose your professional future, the skills passport is developed and managed by the Caisse des Dépôts.

Open in beta since spring 2023, this secure digital public service, accessible from the age of 15, aims to centralize and enhance all the skills acquired throughout initial training, continuing education and professional experience.

The 2023 Full Employment Act expanded the Skills Passport to better recognize skills acquired outside the professional setting alone. Volunteer, associative or citizen experiences can now be integrated and valued in your journey.

What is the skills passport?

Integrated into the My Training Account platform, the Skills Passport centralizes your entire career and training journey in one tool. In particular, it includes:

  • the diplomas, certifications, titles and authorizations, issued by a certifying body since July 2021;
  • the professional experiences, employed and self-employed, from 2017;
  • the continuing education having received at least one public funding;
  • the personal and citizen commitments (volunteering, volunteering, civic service, UNS, etc.).

The Skills Passport thus makes it possible to value all the skills acquired throughout life, whether they come from a professional, associative or citizen activity, a training or a diploma.

How does the Skills Passport work?

The Skills Passport is based on four key features:

  • My journey : collects your professional and training data;
  • My skills : identifies and maps skills acquired;
  • My CVs : helps create structured and reliable CVs from your data;
  • My future : offers ways to evolve, train or reconvert.

This tool facilitates your employment or training process and helps you to better value your achievements with recruiters and training organizations.

Who can use the skills passport?

  • All assets : employees, jobseekers, self-employed;
  • Young people in training or professional integration ;
  • Support professionals (employment advisers, training organizations).

For employers, the Skills Passport is a source of information reliable and secure, facilitating recruitment and skills identification.

Please note

Skills Passport data are strictly personal. They are only accessible to the passport holder and may only be shared or used with his consent.
