To help seniors identify the first signs of frailty, the ICOPE (Integrated Care for Older People) program, launched by the World Health Organization (WHO), proposes a questionnaire to evaluate the 6 essential functions of autonomy and identify possible anomalies to be managed.

Why use ICOPE?

The ICOPE program, supported by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, allows early detection of signs of decline among the 6 essential functions:

  • memory: assess your ability to retain and remember;
  • nutrition: check if your diet covers your needs;
  • vision: test your visual acuity;
  • hearing: control your ability to hear discreetly;
  • psychological well-being: identifying signs of stress, anxiety or depression;
  • mobility: assess your ability to move around without difficulty.

Who is this questionnaire for?

He is intended for anyone aged 60 and over wishing to preserve his physical, moral and intellectual form through simple reflexes.

It can also be used by caregivers or health professionals to support the elderly in maintaining their autonomy.

FYI

Appointments “My prevention assessment”, offered between the ages of 60 and 65 and between the ages of 70 and 75, are the ideal time to talk about your autonomy to your healthcare professional.

How to use it?

The ICOPE questionnaire allows you to evaluate each function through a few simple questions. The test is free and won't take you more than 10 minutes. It can be completed independently by the person concerned or with the help of a relative.

You can complete it via the application for tablet and smartphone or via the web version on a computer:

Then you just need to create an account. In a few minutes, the application will guide you through a quick and easy test.

Please note

It is recommended to consult your treating physician for a thorough evaluation if the results are of concern. Otherwise, it is advisable to repeat the test every 6 months. Remember to keep the ID received by email for the next evaluation.
