How do I attach my children to the second parent's Vital Card?

A child's attachment to a parent's Vital Card is made immediately after the birth is declared; or immediately after arrival in the home as part of an adoption. The child is automatically attached to the vital card of the parent who declared it.

To simplify medical procedures and reimbursements, you can attach your children to the Vitale cards of the 2 parents. This dual connection allows the parent presenting his or her Vital Card to be reimbursed by the Social Security within the usual time limits, without sending a care sheet.

How do I make the connection?

You can do this in 2 ways:

1. By directly accessing the Ameli account of the parent who already has the child on his or her Vital Card. Once you are on this account, go to the "My steps" section and then "Register your child on the other parent's Vital Card".
2. By post, by returning to your primary health insurance fund the paper form " Application for the attachment of minor children to one or both insured parents ”. You must attach a copy of the birth certificate or family record.

Once completed, you will receive a notification informing you that the connection has been made. You can then go to a pharmacy and update your Vitale card.
