Guardianship, curatorship, family authorization: how to find the list of doctors authorized to make an expertise?

Maryam wants her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, to be placed under protection. To do so, she must attach to her application a detailed medical certificate drawn up by a doctor chosen from a list drawn up by the public prosecutor. She wonders where to find this list, knowing that her mother resides in Ehpad in Pessac.

The list of qualified doctors is generally published on the website of the competent court of appeal.

Maryam must first determine which court has jurisdiction to order the protection measure (guardianship, guardianship, family entitlement). This is the court of law or the court near the habitual residence of the person to be protected.

In order to ascertain the competent court, it may consult the directory available on the Department of Justice website.

Depending on the postal code entered, the court and the competent court of appeal are displayed.

Maryam’s mother, who lives in Pessac, is a member of the Bordeaux Court of Appeals.

Once the competent court of appeal has been determined, Maryam will find the list of doctors on the website of the Bordeaux Court of Appeal under the tab “Partners of justice”. By clicking on “Doctors accredited/adults protected”, she will find the list of doctors authorized to make the expert opinions in the jurisdiction of the court of justice of Bordeaux.
