Discover the dates of the second year internship for the 2025-2026 school year

The second-year internship, carried out for 2 consecutive weeks, must enable students to:

• to deepen their discovery of professions, in direct contact with professional actors;
• and to reflect on their project of orientation, whether at the school or professional level.

This sequence of observation in a professional environment, intended for general and technological second-year students, is mandatory:

• in public schools under the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Agriculture;
• in private educational institutions under contract.

Organized at the end of the school year, the internship will take place in 2026 from 15 to 26 june inclusive.

It may optionally be divided into two consecutive periods, to allow a pupil to complete a first week in a place of reception and a second week in a second place of reception.

In what cases can a student be exempted from this internship?

Derogations are provided for pupils who carry out:

• a stay of cohesion or a mission of general interest within the framework of the universal national service (UNS)during the month of June or July;
• one European or international mobility of a minimum duration of 2 weeks for the year of the second or a minimum duration of 4 weeks for the year of the first, during the period provided for the observation sequence in the workplace.

These students may be exempted from the internship, after agreement of their head of school.

Second-year students may also be exempt from the observation sequence in the workplace if they take a school trip, organized by their institution, during the 2 weeks scheduled for the internship, from June 15 to 26, 2026.
