Aging well: a consultation open to all on Agora

Publié le 17 août 2026 - Public Service / (Prime Minister)

A consultation entitled « Aging in France, today and tomorrow », proposed by the Ministry for Autonomy and Persons with Disabilities, is currently open on the citizen participation platform Agora. It aims to gather citizens' opinions and proposals on the quality of life of older people, the prevention of loss of autonomy and, more broadly, the issues related to the aging of the population. You can participate until September 20, 2026.

This consultation invites you to share your experience, your expectations and your ideas around several themes: maintenance of autonomy, health and prevention, adaptation of housing, shared housing or even support of aging.

You will be asked to answer questions such as:

  • Do you think it is possible to act to remain autonomous for as long as possible?
  • What is stopping you today from taking care of your health for later?
  • To live well at home as you age, what do you think matters most?
  • How do you view the different forms of shared housing (independent residences, senior serviced residences, inclusive housing, intergenerational shared housing, etc.)?

How to participate?

The consultation is available free of charge on the platform Agora, dedicated to citizen participation. Participants answer a series of multiple-choice questions and open-ended questions, with the possibility of not answering some of them.

What happens to contributions?

At the end of the consultation, participants will be able to learn about:

  • main lessons learned from contributions;
  • actions planned or undertaken as a result of them;
  • modalities for the implementation of the decisions taken.
