Fourrières: new rates as of October 1, 2026

Pound rates are framed. An order published in Official journal of the French Republic of 22 september 2026 amends the caps on collection and daily care costs for passenger cars.

From 1er october 2026, the maximum amounts of impound charges for passenger cars in the national territory are:

  • physical immobilization (hoof fitting): €7.60
  • pre-impound operations (vehicle movement): €15.20
  • removal: €135 (instead of €127.65)
  • daily guard: €7.15 (instead of €6.75)
  • for sale: €100

The scales of pound charges shall be fixed taking into account the size of municipalities. The cities of Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse are the subject of a separate scale in order to take account of the particular problems of traffic and parking and the difficulties of implementing the operations of removal and custody of vehicles in these cities.

From October 2026, in Marseille, Lyon and Toulouse, the rates are as follows:

  • physical immobilization (hoof fitting): €7.60
  • pre-impound operations (vehicle movement): €15.20
  • removal: €135 (instead of €127.65)
  • daily guard: €10
  • for sale: €61

In Paris, nothing changes. The removal of a private vehicle will always cost €150, day-care €29 and the sale €100.

Please note

Another change will take place next year. From 2027, the caps on impound charges will now evolve each year, taking into account the removal rate, changes in fuel costs, labor, insurance and vehicles.
