In what cases do you need to provide a medical certificate for your child?

When you enroll your child in a nursery, the institution may ask you for a medical certificate of less than 2 months indicating that he has no contraindications to be welcomed in the community. On the other hand, the requirement for a medical certificate for enrollment in nursery or elementary school was abolished by a decree of 15 May 2009; you only have to present a certificate of compliance with the mandatory vaccines for schooling (for example, a copy of the “vaccination” pages of your child's health record).

A medical certificate is only required if required by a legislative or regulatory instrument ; it is justified only if it has a medical reason. You must first indicate the type of institution your child is attending or enrolled in:

• nursery;
