Domestic violence: police and gendarme services improve reception for victims

In 2021, 62,000 victims of domestic violence were taken into judicial care by the gendarmerie and nearly 58,000 by the police.

The reports published on 20 October 2022 by the police and gendarmerie services are in line with the findings of the Grenelle on domestic violence in 2019. Improving the reception and care of victims is one of Grenelle’s priorities (Read more about vie-publique.fr).
